Their chance to sell, buy and socialize with friends. The Hamer use a combination of butter and ochre (an iron in soil) to make a red concoction then smeared on their bodies and hair. Scantily dressed in intricately decorated goat skins, beads and shells, they are an incredible sight. The only drawback? You must pay about 10 cents to photograph them...and that's per click. The Hamers keep an eagle eye on how many times you press the shutter!

One could virtually hike all the way around its coast (except for a very few tricky spots). Of particular interest are walks in Cape Greko, north of Protaras, near Governor’s beach, west of Paphos and Akamas. Inside the forests one could try the official trails, or synthesize her own route. Both Paphos and Troodos forest are excellent, offering trails of various levels of difficulty, length and scenery variety. The Akamas peninsula is another hot spot for walkers and one can easily spend 3-4 exploring it. One could combine walking with the study and photography of plants and birdwatching, or compose routes that will take him by locations of rich cultural importance (eg. the 10 Troodos churches that are Unesco World heritage).

Bat Cave Temple

Candi Goa Lawar - which means - Bat Cave Temple. Thousands of bats and quite a few python snakes guard the entrance to this cave which is believed to tunnel through to another temple on the other side of Bali. We saw a blessing ceremony there. I'm not really batman though, I just resemble him.

Located in Northeastern Oregon at Mile 327 on Interstate 84, Durkee, OR is a History and Train Buff teasure trove. With a population of 195 humans plus a whole bunch of horses, cows, goats and the occasional antelope, this little dot on the map is a great place to kick back and enjoy some of the most beautiful country in the Western United States.
