Cool! I didn't realize that there were sea turtles off the California coast. They must be pretty uncommon.

Dan, that's why they call it the "Road" to Hana, because it's all about the adventure getting there and coming back. I liked the "Seven Sacred Pools" best (they are in the picture). Looks like you were there when there was good water run off too! IMHO - Maui is the best of the Hawaiian islands if you are looking for adventure, especially in the area of water sports.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I believe that keeping the cost of flight down - which they certainly are - may contribute to the circumstances which bring about some of the unease in flying. For goodness sake, we are flying more places more often for about the same cost as we were twenty-five years ago. It's a wonder to me that the airlines are keeping the costs for flying down so low. This economy of flight has had to come with a cost - planes are more crowded, the food is almost non-existant, and that that there is comes at a pretty price. I only hope that safey will not be on the list of things to cut corners on. For me, the flight is about getting to the destination - but I do hope that I arrive in one piece!

Cartagena - Youth With A Mission Base on Bocachica
Watch
Producer: AndrewBurnett
I flew from Medellin to Cartagena to spend a few days working with the Youth With A Mission Base on Bocachica. The Base has a number of full time staff who work on community development projects to improve the health of the people. They also have an infirmary, library for the children, feeding center and are building a large clinic that will serve the whole island. I walked around the town, visited the Fort and played with the kids down by the waterfront. I also had the chance to work on the Mercy Boat which will someday spread their work all the way down the coast of Colombia. YWAM is doing a wonderful work here for God and the people of Bocachica.
