China Summer Camp

Lion Park in South Africa

i-to-i volunteers work with lion cubs in a South African lion park. While the volunteers work primarily with lions, they are also responsible for helping out with feeding other animals such as giraffes and warthogs. If they ever have a slow day, the full-time staff will often take them out into the park where the full grown lions reside, get out and play with them.

South Africa Surf School

This is a video montage of i-to-i volunteers working at a surf school in South Africa. The program began roughly 16 years ago when the proprietor of a surf shop told local street kids that he would teach them to surf, if they stayed off the streets and didn’t get in trouble. Sixteen years later, he has trained a South African surf champion as well as two other students who are on the national surf team.

Turtle Conservation - Kenya

Building Project in Honduras

The building project in Honduras started just after Hurricane Mitch. Hurricane Mitch was one of the most powerful hurricanes on record and wiped out homes for a large portion of Honduran people. This i-to-i volunteer project is literally building houses from the ground up. Volunteers work shoulder to shoulder with the families that are going to be living the shelters that are being built for them.
