Day 2 Murcielago and Howler Monkey fun

Here is a whiney video with us being stuck back in Murcielago due to the darkness approaching. We just stayed there till morning and took off. We apologize for the pathetic dialog. You weren't allowed to fish here or use wood for fire. Only charcoal or gas. Darn

Day 1, EATING OFF THE BEACH, BAHIA SALINAS, Costa Rica

First night of camping. No food except some carrots. It started with a failed shortcut up North and ended with fresh cactus, weird beans that tasted good, and a tasty stingray provided by the ocean god.

8, Freezing Cold in Costa Rica, Irazu Volcano

Went up about 10000 feet to Irazu Volcano. Couldn't see a thing because of the fog, but stayed in a cool little cabin place. It was COLD!

9&10, Limon, Caribbean, Costa Rica

Drove to Limon. Stopped off at a Tilapia Farm restaurant on the way and caught some fish. Limon is a nice looking town but have a bad reputation for crime and drugs. We didn't have any problems. This was the first time we saw the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. it's a beautiful spot.

Spearing an Iguana, Prepping and Eating the Tasty Lizard

We were hungry so we kindly ate this iguana that we found. It would be a shame to waste! I'm not a fan of letting good protien go bad. Taste like chicken.......well kind of.

Day 12&13, Native American Bri Bri, Talamanca Mountains

We were on a mission to find this small reservation in the Talamanca Mountain area. We had read a bit about this area on the internet and really wanted to find out more.... More» It was pretty spiffy. This group of people has live the same way for thousands of years. Just in the last few year they've started embracing a bit of tourism. Don't know if that's good or not. But change is unstoppable.

Day 11, Beach Camping and Jungle Exploration, Cahuita

Making our way further down to Panama. This is near Cahuita on the Southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. We went through a bit of bush and ended up on this cool coastline. It was the perfect place to camp and find some more food. We found some tasty termites and wild onions. And Jodi ran into a whole family of Capuchin monkeys.
