About Me

travelswithsheila
I am an addicted traveler. Unlike people who complain on crowded planes, I'm never happier then getting on a jet and going somewhere...anywhere. Lonely Planet is one of my bibles of travel even though my husband (who will be known throughout as the "ex-marine") and I are in our 60's. The peoples of the World are nice!! The great majority are always willing to help even if you don't speak their language. Forget about timidity - travel the world and experience some of our experiences.

Annapura Sanctuary: Birethanti to Ulleri
Watch

http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Another day on the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek in Nepal. It just gets harder and harder. Trekking in Nepal is not easy but it helps when you are sharing the misery with 14 other people and have wonderful Sherpas, always ready to give a hand.

A Day In Ushuaia
Watch
Producer: travelswithsheila
http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com Ships coming back from the Antarctic, rounding South America from Santiago, Chile and preparing for new departures. A constant bustle of passengers coming and going in this little town that resembles Breckenridge, Colorado. Shopping for souvenirs, wandering around, eating, visting the Tierre Del Fuego National Park, trekking, skiing (in the winter) or even zip-lining...quite a bit to do.

The Tongren Festival Began With Shaman #1
Watch
Producer: travelswithsheila
http://TravelsWithSheila.com The Festival began with a fast hike up the hill at altitude trying not to miss any part of the Tongren Aboriginal Festival held once a year. This video highlights Shaman #1 in a trance, pawing the ground and making horse sounds. Offerings and prayers in the temple, intricate dance routines. A "not for tourist" event - that is becoming more popular every year.
