There are so many unique experiences on offer in Gangwon-do! You must try the Jeongseon railbike - you get to pedal along an old railway track at the foot of the mountains. It makes you feel very small! Then you can take the seatrain to a famous beach - it's the world's closest trainstation to the water!
The scenery at Mt Seoraksan was absolutely stunning. It really took my breath away! I'd have to recommend the cable car to get up there, and then the walk to the old site of the castle. You must see the Sinheungsa Temple at the bottom, and especially the huuuuge limestone caves. I guarantee your jaw will drop!
Yum yum! Traditional Korean food is... WOW... Especially when I'm wearing the apron! Even the street food is incredible! Check out the Traditional Culture Centre, local markets aaaaaand (drum roll), the Sokcho Water Fire Festival! So worth it!
Wow.. Lotte world is this huge indoor theme park! With every ride you could imagine! i had quite a bit of fun there.. especially on the last ride, it didn't scare me at all!
