A tour of the lake is certainly worth it, particularly the shore by Garda town. The western shore has a lot of tunnels and coverings that prevent you from seeing the views. Of course there is also a tour boat that takes you from the most northern point, Tobole, to the most southern point, Peschiera, via all the bigger towns.
